about the founder
Born and raised in London, Matilda founded Second Helping from a lifelong love of hosting, interiors, and creating memorable moments around the table.
Over the years, she shared that passion through creating tablescapes, renovating homes, and documenting the rituals that make a house feel like home. Along the way, she found herself constantly searching for pieces that felt considered, distinctive, and full of character.
"I've always loved collecting things that make a home feel personal. The objects we live with every day can completely shape how a space feels, and I wanted to create pieces that bring a little more joy to those everyday moments.
Second Helping is my way of creating the pieces I was always searching for but could never quite find."
